A meeting with Piero Coda at the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville

On 18 September, the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville hosted the launch of *Neoplatonism and Theology: The 4th Century*, the second volume of the Spanish edition of the *Dynamic Dictionary of Trinitarian Ontology*, published by Ciudad Nueva. The event brought together leading specialists in the fields of theology and Trinitarian ontology at the Faculty’s headquarters.

The event was graced in particular by the presence of Monsignor Piero Coda, Secretary-General of the International Theological Commission and one of the figures closely involved in the development of the international project for the *Diccionario Dinámico de Ontología Trinitaria*. His academic career and his dedication to the study of Trinitarian theology and ontology lent particular significance to his visit to the Faculty.

Monsignor Coda’s visit began in the morning, when he met with students from the Faculty, thus offering them the opportunity to engage in dialogue and reflection with one of the leading contemporary figures in this field of theological research.

In the afternoon, the book launch took place in the form of a round-table discussion, in which the following took part alongside Piero Coda: Mr Manuel Palma Ramírez, Dean of the San Isidoro Faculty of Theology in Seville; Alessandro Clemenzia, President of the Theological Faculty of Central Italy; Eloy Bueno, from the Faculty of Theology in Burgos; and Raúl Buffo, the book’s editor.

The book being presented, *Neoplatonism and Theology: The Fourth Century*, is authored by Piero Coda, Massimo Donà, Giulio Maspero and John Milbank; it features a foreword by Eloy Bueno de la Fuente and forms part of an international research project that addresses various philosophical and theological issues from the perspective of Trinitarian ontology.

Through this initiative, the San Isidoro Faculty of Theology in Seville continues to foster dialogue amongst lecturers, researchers and students on issues of particular relevance to contemporary theological thought.

The full launch event can also be viewed on the Faculty’s YouTube channel, where the complete recording of the round-table discussion and the participants’ contributions is available.
