Theology Workshop

The Theology Workshop of the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville  constitutes a unique sphere of research, featuring a wide variety of development modes. Over its nearly thirty editions, the workship has become a meeting point for theological reflection and deepening, with great experience in the Spanish Church.

Throughout this time, a very wide range of theological questions have been addressed, all of them aiming to constitute a meditation on the work of Theology itself and to consider how to face some of the many challenges that today demand its attention. Challenges coming from within the Church or coming from the world and the march of history, to which she must respond in order to faithfully fulfill her permanent task of bearing witness, as an elaborated thought, to the message of salvation.

Currently, the Conference takes place intensively in a single day of study and reflection in March, with morning and afternoon sessions. During this meeting, various aspects of the central topic of each edition’s reflection are analyzed: philosophical foundations, theological implications, and educational repercussions. In this way, the Christian proposal is presented in the light of revelation, Church doctrine, and the pastoral initiatives that should be adopted.

The study day, which takes place in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville  is primarily intended for theology students, priests, religious, teachers, university students with an interest in sacred sciences, catechists, and other pastoral agents.
