The Faculty of Theology San Isidoro of Seville and the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences San Isidoro and San Leandro integrated in it, in use of the powers granted by the Congregation for Catholic Education and with the recognition of the Spanish Episcopal Conference organizes the course for obtaining the current Ecclesiastical Declaration of Academic Competence (DECA) at the levels of Early Childhood and Primary Education and Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training.

The DECA is the title created on April 27, 2007 by the Spanish Episcopal Conference as a necessary academic requirement to, together with the corresponding academic degree, be able to become a teacher. teacher of Religion both in Pre-school and Primary Education as well as in Secondary and Baccalaureate Education. in all types of educational centers, whether public, subsidized or private. It became effective as of the 2008-2009 academic year. It is a qualification that schools require from their teachers, due to the great demand for religion classes by students or their parents, as well as the large number of Catholic-oriented schools that include religion as a compulsory subject in all their courses.

Documents required for registration: duly completed registration form, photocopy of ID card, a passport-sized photograph and, for the primary DECA, certification of teaching studies (degree or studies in progress)].
