This morning, the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville and Cáritas Diocesana signed a collaboration agreement to fund scholarships for training in the Social Doctrine of the Church taught by our Faculty.
The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate access to this training for people with limited financial resources and volunteers linked to Caritas and Pastoral Social. Under the agreement, 100 scholarships will be funded, with a total annual amount of €5,000, to partially cover the cost of the course on the Social Doctrine of the Church. In this way, those who lack the means to pay for these studies, as well as those who already collaborate pastorally in Caritas or Pastoral Social structures, will be able to deepen their understanding of the principles and values of the Social Doctrine of the Church and strengthen their service in the field of charity and social action.
The agreement was signed by the Honourable Rev. Manuel Palma Ramírez, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville, and by Mr. Miguel Ángel Carbajo Sellés, Director of Cáritas Diocesana de Sevilla. Also present at the ceremony was the Reverend Salvador Diánez Navarro, Episcopal Vicar of Pastoral Social, who has accompanied and supported this joint step in favour of the formation and social commitment of the laity.
