Next Thursday, 25th September, Seville Cathedral will host the jubilee celebration of the world of education, an event that aims to highlight that we all walk together in hope, guided by our Lord, in the task of education.
The day will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the welcoming of pilgrims at the Collegiate Church of the Divine Saviour. Half an hour later, the pilgrimage to the Cathedral will begin along Constitution Avenue.
At 7:30 p.m., the Eucharist will be presided over by the Archbishop of Seville, Monsignor José Ángel Saiz Meneses, marking the beginning of the academic year and the sending forth of Catholic teachers. At the end, participants will receive a pilgrim’s diploma. The theme of the celebration will be ‘Educators of Hope.’
All members of the academic community of the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville are invited to participate.
