The Dicastery for Culture and Education has recently appointed Mr. Alessandro Clemenzia as the new Dean of the Facoltà Teologica dell’Italia Centrale (Florence). Mr. Alessandro Clemenzia will take office on August 9, 2025, after the end of the term of office of the current Dean, Mr. Stefano Tarocchi.
Alessandro Clemenzia, PhD in Theology, is a professor at our Faculty of Theology and director, together with the Dean, Manuel Palma Ramirez, of the Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI International Chair, established on April 16, 2024 by the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville in collaboration with the Facoltà Teologica dell’Italia Centrale.
The Benedict XVI Chair, of an academic and formative nature, aims to promote the theological, philosophical and cultural contribution of Pope Benedict XVI, through initiatives such as seminars, conferences, scientific publications and the creation of a specialized bibliographic collection within the two academic institutions, in collaboration with the Benedict XVI Library (Seville) and the Biblioteca Cardinale Silvano Piovanelli (Florence).
