This Wednesday 5th March is Ash Wednesday, and the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville is preparing to begin Lent.
For this reason, the traditional imposition of ashes will take place during the 17:00 Eucharist in the Gaudete et Exsultate Oratory.
The imposition of ashes marks the beginning of Lent, a period of reflection and spiritual preparation that culminates in the celebration of Holy Week. During the celebration, the faithful will receive ashes on their foreheads in the form of a cross, recalling the fragility of life and the call to penance.
The academic community and the faithful are invited to participate in this liturgical act, thus beginning this time of preparation.
