We must take care that we never lose sight of the “flesh” of Jesus Christ; that flesh made of passions, emotions, feelings, concrete stories, hands that touch and heal, gazes that liberate and encourage; of hospitality, forgiveness, indignation, courage, daring. In a word, of love.
And it is precisely in this area that an assiduous frequency of literature can make future priests and all pastoral agents even more sensitive to the full humanity of the Lord Jesus, in whom his divinity is fully expanded, and announce the Gospel in such a way that everyone, really everyone, can experience how true is what the Second Vatican Council says: “In reality, the mystery of man is only clarified in the mystery of the Incarnate Word” (GS 22).
