The Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville has organised, through the Benedict XVI Chair, the First Cycle of Conferences on ‘The Ecclesiology of J. Ratzinger-Benedict XVI’. This academic event, which aims to reflect on the important theological work of J. Ratzinger-Benedict XVI, will take place between 7 and 9 January, starting at 16:00 hours, in the lecture hall of the Faculty’s headquarters (Av. Bueno Monreal, 43). The series will be given by Professor Dr. Alessandro Clemenzia, director of the Chair and vice-dean of the Faculty of Theology of Central Italy.
In order to guarantee a wider reach, all the conferences can be followed live on the official YouTube channel of the Faculty of Theology, allowing the participation of students, teachers and interested members of the public. The event is free of charge and open to the entire academic community and the general public. We invite everyone to be part of this space of encounter and theological knowledge.
The Benedict XVI Chair was established on 16 April 2024, as a result of the collaboration between the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville and the Facoltà Teologica dell’Italia Centrale (Florence). Among its main aims is the promotion of the theological, philosophical and cultural thought of J. Ratzinger-Benedict XVI through the support of educational activities, such as the organisation of conferences, study seminars, training courses, congresses and any other initiative useful for this purpose.
