In an event that strengthens academic ties between international theological institutions, the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville received on 6 December the institutional visit of Professor Carlos María Galli, until now dean of the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Argentina (UCA). The visit took place within the framework of a fruitful dialogue between the two institutions, aimed at strengthening academic and pastoral cooperation.
Professor Galli, a renowned theologian and leading figure in the Latin American ecclesial sphere, was received by the President Dean of the San Isidoro Faculty. During the meeting, key issues for the development of contemporary theology were discussed, highlighting the importance of building bridges between European and Latin American theological traditions. In addition, possible collaborations in research projects and teaching exchanges were explored.
In the dialogue, Professor Galli shared reflections on the role of theology in the current context, underlining the need for a theological formation committed to the social and cultural challenges of the contemporary world. He also highlighted the relevance of synodality as a path for the Church in the 21st century, a theme that has been central to his academic career.
For his part, Manuel Palma expressed his gratitude for Professor Galli’s visit, highlighting the richness of the exchange of experiences and perspectives between the two institutions. This institutional visit marks a milestone in the relations between the Faculty of Theology Saint Isidore of Seville and the Catholic University of Argentina, opening new avenues for academic collaboration and mutual enrichment in the mission of training theologians at the service of the Church and society.
